Iranian film, television and theater actor Amin Tarokh has been transferred to hospital in the capital Tehran.

Iranian film, television and theater actor Amin Tarokh has been transferred to hospital in the capital Tehran.

The 69-year-old actor was hospitalized on Monday due to a heart attack. Reports said he was on ventilator.

He is one of the most successful and popular Iranian actors who has appeared in numerous movies, TV series and plays.

Tarokh has appeared in several TV series such as ‘Sarbedaran’, ‘The Green Journey’, ‘Coma’, and ‘Injury’.

He has also taken part in many movies such as ‘The Death of Yazdgerd’, ‘Little Bird of Happiness’, ‘Mother’, ‘Sheikh Mofid’, ‘Conspiracy’, ‘Seven Stones’, ‘Rules of the Game’, ‘Saghar’, ‘Barefoot in Heaven’, 'The 25th Hour', 'The Boss', 'Extreme Cold' and 'Red Garden'.

Tarokh won a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in ‘The Moon and the Sun’ at Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran. He was also nominated for a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor for his performance in ‘The Havana Brief’.

He founded the first acting workshop in Tehran in 1994.
